Who we are
God Healing Temple (“the church”) is a Pentecostal Holiness congregation in Rochester, New York. This website, the member portal, and the God Healing Temple app are operated on SanctuaryFlow, the church’s ministry platform. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit godhealingtemple.org, use the app, use the member portal, give online, or contact us.
Information we collect
We collect information you choose to give us: names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, prayer requests, visit and membership forms, event RSVPs, volunteer details, and messages sent through Connect. If you create a portal account, we also store your login identity, membership record, communication preferences, and activity needed to run groups, giving, and pastoral care. Online gifts are processed by Stripe; we store donation amounts, fund, status, and the email you provide for a receipt—not full card numbers. The app does not ask for an account just to listen, read public news, or see public events. If you allow notifications, we store a device token for that church’s announcements. Notes you write before signing in stay on your phone. Notes you save after signing in are stored with your membership. We do not request your microphone, contacts, location, camera, or photos, and we do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
How we use information
We use this information to welcome visitors, follow up on prayer and membership requests, administer the congregation, send church communications you have opted into, process donations and receipts, and keep the platform secure. Staff with appropriate roles can see pastoral, giving, and membership records needed for ministry. We do not sell personal information.
Email, SMS, and opt-out
Church-wide email and SMS are sent only when our records show you have accepted that channel. A missing preference profile is treated as opted out. You can update portal communication preferences or reply STOP to SMS. Transactional messages (such as a giving receipt or password reset) may still be sent when needed to complete a request you made.
Text messaging (SMS)
God Healing Temple may send SMS messages about church announcements, service reminders, and pastoral care only to members who have opted in. This page, https://godhealingtemple.org/privacy, is the privacy policy for those messages. The call to action is published at https://godhealingtemple.org/sms and can be read without signing in. That page shows an unchecked box labeled SMS from the church, states that God Healing Temple sends church announcements, service reminders, and pastoral care, that message frequency varies, that message and data rates may apply, that you can reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help, and links to this policy and to https://godhealingtemple.org/terms. Consent is recorded when a member signs in at https://godhealingtemple.org/app/profile and turns on that same unchecked box on the Communication opt-in form, then saves. An authorized administrator may set the member’s SMS channel preference to opted in only after the member has agreed. A missing or false SMS preference means you are opted out and will not receive church-wide texts. Message frequency varies; you may receive a few messages per month depending on church activities. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel. Reply HELP for help. We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties for their own use.
Cookies and accounts
The public site uses cookies needed for the site to function. The member portal uses authentication cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use those cookies to sell advertising. Analytics or error-reporting tools, if enabled, are used to keep the site reliable.
Sharing and processors
We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Service providers who host the site, store records, send email, deliver SMS, or process gifts (for example Vercel, Supabase, SendGrid, Twilio, and Stripe) may process information only to provide those services to God Healing Temple. Twilio delivers SMS only for members who opted in, and only to send those messages. Those providers may not use mobile numbers or messaging consent for their own marketing. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect people in our care.
Children
The public website is for a general audience. Children’s ministry records are handled by authorized church staff. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through public forms for commercial use.
Retention and your choices
We keep membership, giving, and pastoral records as long as they are needed for ministry, legal, and financial records. You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to limit communications by emailing the church office.
