Who we are
God Healing Temple (“the church”) is a Pentecostal Holiness congregation in Rochester, New York. This website and member portal are operated on SanctuaryFlow, the church’s ministry platform. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit godhealingtemple.org, use the member portal, give online, or contact us.
Information we collect
We collect information you choose to give us: names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, prayer requests, visit and membership forms, event RSVPs, volunteer details, and messages sent through Connect. If you create a portal account, we also store your login identity, membership record, communication preferences, and activity needed to run groups, giving, and pastoral care. Online gifts are processed by Stripe; we store donation amounts, fund, status, and the email you provide for a receipt—not full card numbers.
How we use information
We use this information to welcome visitors, follow up on prayer and membership requests, administer the congregation, send church communications you have opted into, process donations and receipts, and keep the platform secure. Staff with appropriate roles can see pastoral, giving, and membership records needed for ministry. We do not sell personal information.
Email, SMS, and opt-out
Church-wide email and SMS are sent only when our records show you have accepted that channel. A missing preference profile is treated as opted out. You can update portal communication preferences or reply STOP to SMS. Transactional messages (such as a giving receipt or password reset) may still be sent when needed to complete a request you made.
Cookies and accounts
The public site uses cookies needed for the site to function. The member portal uses authentication cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use those cookies to sell advertising. Analytics or error-reporting tools, if enabled, are used to keep the site reliable.
Sharing and processors
We share information with service providers who help us operate ministry systems, including hosting, database, email, SMS, and payment processors (for example Vercel, Supabase, SendGrid, Twilio, and Stripe). They may process data only to provide those services. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect people in our care.
Children
The public website is for a general audience. Children’s ministry records are handled by authorized church staff. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through public forms for commercial use.
Retention and your choices
We keep membership, giving, and pastoral records as long as they are needed for ministry, legal, and financial records. You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to limit communications by emailing the church office.
